Barbados is paradise for hire a car . It’s easy to see why this Caribbean island, famous for its pristine white sand beaches and calm turquoise waters, welcomes nearly a million visitors a year. we have just learned to walk and have been visiting Barbados for as long as we can remember.
Drive Barbados are an independent business that has a natural affinity for car rental in Barbados. We set ourselves apart from other Barbados car rental companies with our prompt services, friendliness, low prices, and emotional connection. We strive to provide the best rental car packages, offer a variety of car rentals, offer a hassle-free customer experience, and offer low rental rates.
Rent a car and explore at your own pace
There is nothing better than being able to go wherever you want, whenever you want. There are many things to do in Barbados, but the last thing you want to do is wait for public transport or wait for a taxi at the appointed time. In addition, it is not known how long you plan to stay in a particular location, so pre-booking round trips may be limited.
With your own car in hand, you can go anywhere. Driving to a place, we are often stopped by an unexpected beauty. You have the freedom to change your plans and stop here. On the other hand, it is impossible to get to the booked location by bus or taxi for a fixed price. And believe me; Barbados has so many unexpected gems you’ll be dying to try! Or, if the place you’ve always wanted to go doesn’t suit your mood, leave early and be free to explore new places just down the street. Yes, we really could go on forever about the benefits of freedom! This is your vacation. we don’t want to be tied to a strict schedule.
Renting a car is surprisingly cheap
One thing we always wonder about when renting a car is the price. Is it cheaper to rent a car than to use a local taxi? Also, Barbados is a very expensive place, so we believed a car would be a good choice.
While researching car rental options, we came across Drive-A-Matic Car Rentals. They have rental cars from just $37 per day. This is pretty good! I like myself a little extravagant so actually he chose a 4×4 and it was still only $53 a day. Visiting countries he is likely to spend $60 on a base model. In comparison, the Drive-A-Matic is ridiculously good value for money. Driving in Barbados requires a driver’s license, which costs only $5 per person. Remember, it’s always important to read the fine print when renting a car. Some companies may look very cheap, but the hidden costs can easily add up. I always avoid mainstream companies like Avis and Hertz.
Hiring a Car is Stress-free!
Honestly can’t think of anything worse than landing in a new country after hours of flying and having to run out of taxis. If you think you may have overpaid for being at the airport (airport taxis always cost an arm and a leg), you’ll need to make sure you’re providing the correct address and need help navigating. You might. This is not a relaxed way to start your trip. I always get tired of haggling and wonder if I’ve been duped. Picking up a rental car, on the other hand, is child’s play. Drive-A-Matic’s office is actually inside the airport building (outside the building, but still part of it).
To receive the car, I had to contact reception and give them the confirmation number. The staff was so friendly and relaxing. After paying the bill, my rental car was driven right away so I was able to ride right away! The newness of the vehicle and everything worked like a dream as expected. Dropping off the car at the end of the trip was even easier. I had to park in the airport parking lot and then give the car keys and parking ticket to the receptionist.
Barbados roads are easy to drive
One of the biggest concerns when renting a car is how the roads will be. We’ve been to some interesting places! Perhaps the biggest challenge was when we was renting a car in The Gambia, Africa, where we constantly had to dodge cars entering the road without blinking, donkeys on the road, cattle crossing, etc. Driving in Barbados Nice to know you are relaxing all the way! Roads are fairly quiet and drivers are cautious.
It is important to note that driving is on the left side of the road. If you’re from the UK like m, it’s perfect just like driving at home. The only thing to be aware of is that some roads have potholes and some developments have created detours. So please follow these closely.
Renting a car is super convenient
There are many benefits to having a rental car, but one of the main benefits I’ve noticed is the ease with which you can move many items. For example, we really wanted to go to the sea. This meant we had to pack beach towels, snorkel gear, flippers or water shoes, and a change of clothes. Being a camera junkie, we also had to carry all my camera gear with me. That’s a big booty! It would have been a pain to put all this on the bus and we would have been forced to carry it around all day. Instead, this is what happened.
You can leave all your beach gear in the back of your car while you have lunch, and safely store your camera gear and other valuables (phone, wallet, etc.) later when you decide to go for a swim we were able to  car. Knowing that valuables were left unattended on the beach wouldn’t have been fun swimming and we would have felt like a lemming eating lunch with a pile of beach gear.
Where is the best place to rent a car in Barbados?
Now that you’ve persuaded them to rent a car (if they don’t, wave your arms in the air and yell “Why?!?”), you need to find the best place to rent a car. As we said before, we were very impressed with Drive-A-Matic for providing a seamless car rental experience at an affordable price and would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Drive-A-Matic checks a very long list of things to look out for when renting a car. First of all, they are a local company. This is a must-see! We have had nothing but heartaches with landlords all over the country. Local businesses continue to offer the best service and prices.
